Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  • Mash bananas in a large mixing bowl using a fork until smooth. Stir in melted butter.
  • Mix in baking soda and salt. Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
  • Add flour and stir until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • Use overripe bananas with brown spots for the best flavor.
  • For extra flavor, you can add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or chocolate chips to the batter.
  • Wrap banana bread in plastic wrap or store in an airtight container to keep it fresh for up to a week. You can also freeze it for up to 3 months.
